![]() ![]() I just demolish all the buildings if I don't think i can hold it and leave the enemy to replace them all after they take it. Their pastoral lifestyle leads to greater profit through an abundance of livestock, and their fierce sense of independence means they will fight hard to preserve their territory. You still get imcome from it as well until someone else or a rebel takes it. As a nomadic people, The Massagetae are adept raiders, and capable of recruiting troops at a rapid rate from their home province. with which you can challange nearly any faction, so long as you position them right before going in.īro I tried letting public order fall but I balances out then slowly begins to rise, even after I have raised and removed my army Assassinating the last playable member of the faction just auto-spawned another guy to replace him, so. They became a pain in the backside, so I decided to see if I could destroy the party. aside from the absolute start off any given game this should be a destinct option, since you should have around 5 or 6 armies. In my campaign I had a party with traits that meant they always had negative loyalty. but it does pose the challange of taking the rest off the province as well. Qeustion is, why would you want too abondon? some cities are not ideal to have at some point i will agree. it's a long process though and it takes some though, since you need to be able to have the other cities (in the province) bounce back after you lost it and it usually takes a while to whittle the public order down to -100. the rebels should spawn at or at least go to the weakest element in a province. long answer? just let the public order drop untill it rebels, have an army in the city/village near the same province if you want to keep it. The city might be somewhat rebelious, but it will produce more income and you'll be able to build stuff cheaper.Originally posted by majorgeneralflippo:short answer? you can't really. But if you happen to have a general that has it you can put him in a city with a temple of Mars without worying too much. It has a no going back level of 1, so it can't be cured. Then there is "Sane" which is marked as "hidden" and has no effect other than making generals immune to bloodthirst, insanity, religious mania and so on.Īnd finaly there is "GamesHaterRomanVice" which increases unrest and senate standing and decreases your standing with the plebs. The good news is that keeping a general that has Lily-livered (the first in the line) you can put him in a city with a temple of violence to cure him of it, but if you atempt to do so, check his status regularly. There are some traits that protect the generals from picking up bloodthirsty though they are typically bad traits as well.įirst there is "Haemophobic", which has a no going back level of 2 (hates blood). You also need to be careful not to let any of the proper generals enter the city.ĭefinately don't build them in your capital because it's easy to forget about it and then you're stuck with a bunch of psychos that scare the hell out of their own troops instead of the enemy. He who rules in Rome can rule the world, but only through the glory of conquest Rome. And now, surrounded by rivals and potential enemies, Rome faces challenges at every turn. So temples of violence are fine as long as the family members stationed in the city don't get into combat. Roman armies may have been beaten, but they have always dragged themselves back into any fight, and battled on. +2 management, 20% discount and extra movement (from lively)Īnger isn't all that bad, but bloodthirsty is very bad for battles. 1 command, -3 troop morale (from bloodthirsty) Let me check the data.Īt maximum level of the 3 traits you have the following: I considered them bad, but now you mention the discount i'm a little unsure. I also destroy foreign temples of any other culture whenever I conquer a city, unless that temple has already been upgraded into a Pantheon/Awesome Temple (whichever is the highest level you can build). If that is not an option, I choose weapons/armour bonuses. ![]() I learned the awesomeness of the Awesome Nike temple when I started as Greece - with every unit starting with 3 copper experience and Hoplites with one silver experience, your army is much stronger than the enemy, and archers can easily get up to gold experience. If you are playing as Spain, you don't have a choice - without the temple of Esus, you have no more than a handful of units available.īarring that, I choose the temples that give nice bonus to units trained there (Artemis, Nike, etc.). Some people like to build fertility temples (Demeter, Ceres, etc.) for the growth bonus and most importantly the Fertile trait, but I prefer choosing temples that grant additional units (Baal, Jupiter, Esus, etc.). In this case, which temples do you choose? I think the more experienced among us would already know that you should never ever choose happiness temples as they make your generals drunk. ![]()
